At Messing Primary School, we love welcoming new children into our family. Whether you are looking for a place in our Reception class or have older children, we will do our best to make applying for a place at Messing Primary School as simple as possible. We know that choosing a school for your children is an important decision. Our rural setting and small year groups (we currently admit 12 pupils in each year group), mean that your child will make new friends easily. It is our hope that your whole family will quickly feel a part of life at Messing Primary.
Unusually for our school, due to families moving from the area, we have spaces coming up in some of our year groups. If you have moved into the local area and are looking for a place for your child please get in touch. We may be able to help you. Please contact us in the first instance for a chat and we can arrange a visit too.
Our partnership with New Hall School, a nearby leading independent boarding and day school, is enhancing and improving the education of our pupils and widening their experiences in areas such as music, sport and community projects. New Hall School is a leading independent school in Chelmsford rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and the Independent School Inspectorate.
Congratulations to all the year 6 pupils on their hard work and success with their SATS results. This year, 2018, 23% of our year 6 pupils passed the 11+ exam and will be going on to Grammar School.
